OUTER BANKS PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY
A day in the life documentary session celebrates the every-day seemingly insignificant moments that build the foundation of family. Daniel’s keen artistic eye and expertise as a documentary photographer enable him to capture the uninhibited expressions, tender exchanges, laughter, silliness, and even the in-need-of-a-nap moments of daily life sure to put a smile on your face.
"The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories." Og Mandino
We believe that family should be celebrated; laugher and silliness encouraged; & happiness and joy allowed to run free. Our family lifestyle sessions include both posed and candid photography. The sessions last about one hour and are for every size family.
It's not what we have in our lives, but who we have in our lives that matters.
Short, sweet, and full of great moments, our family mini-session is a condensed version of the life-style session. These sessions are held at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Beach in Buxton, and are for groups of 1-4 people. In the summertime we also hold mini-sessions on the Northern Outer Banks.
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." E. Roosevelt
These are just a few words that describe our seniors. Our goal is to creatively capture the unique personality of each client, and make incredible photographs that showcase how amazing they are!
The littlest feet make the biggest footprint in our hearts.
Cuddles + Sweetness
We celebrate all of these things in our newborn and maternity sessions. Whether we're on the beach, in the studio, or at your home, we combine traditional and lifestyle portraiture to create photographs worthy of the abundance of happiness that new life brings!
the greatest adventure
Marriage is a blessing, and from the engagement session to 50+ anniversary sessions we are honored to celebrate and capture it's milestones with our clients.
After the session, your image collection is meticulously edited and uploaded to an online gallery. Photos are uploaded an estimated 1-2 weeks from the session. Editing times/seasons vary and it can take shorter/longer for final edits depending on the time of year. Clients can also purchase same week upgrade for images to be uploaded within the same calendar week as session. From your gallery you can purchase online prints, canvases, and other photographic products. If you have purchased digital files this is also where you will download your images.
Studio and Home Sessions are available anytime throughout the day. Outdoor portrait sessions are planned around sunset and sunrise time. For example, in the summer, our morning sessions are at 6:30/7:00 a.m. and 7:00/7:30 p.m. Day in the Life Sessions begin in the early morning and end after sunset. In the event of inclement weather, beach, high school senior, and celebration sessions will be rescheduled to our next available appointment time. Day in the Life Session are held rain or shine.
We have built our business on a reputation of exceptional service and in-depth experience & knowledge of our craft, lighting, and the environment in which we shoot. We know the best locations and times to shoot, as well as the the optimal lighting equipment needed for each session, and we come prepared. Sometimes “the stars align” and we work in pristine conditions, but when that is not the case, our clients rest easy knowing we know what it takes to get amazing images even when Mother Nature might not be on our side. We use professional off-camera lighting and accessories, cameras and lenses, and are covered by liability insurance. All of our files are saved in multiple locations with backups: to ensure the safety of your digital images. We archive images for 1 year after the session.
The first step to reserving a session is to contact us so that we can check our availability and answer any questions that you might have. To book the date we require a signed contract and a non-refundable 50% retainer. The balance of the package is due at time of session. This balance can be paid via credit (Master/Visa), check, or cash. Once we receive the contract and retainer, you will receive an email with your online client site. This will include helpful tips for planning your session, receipt of retainer, and signed contract.
